I don't think this is working...

Hmm. It's been a very, very long time since I first posted. However, since we're not back at work I've not had a lot to report. Done some knitting (posted on Ravelry), and a bit of sewing and cooking.

I'm currently proofing soft pretzels, and trying to come up with a cheese and mustard dip. I don't have beer, or easy access to beer, which makes things more complicated.

A new blog...

A sphere of chert or a silicified ooid on Vancouver Island, BC

I decided to make another start at blogging. Ravelry has mostly taken over my knitting, which was my primary reason for having a blog for the last number of years. However, now with a new job far away from (easy) contact with my friends and family and a new digital camera, I thought it was worth another shot.

I'm also going to be a little less personal on this blog, and keep a few more things to myself. I've locked my old blogs, but if you're interested in seeing them you can drop me a comment and I can possibly add you to the reader list.

I'm a knitter and geologist who has recently graduated from University and is engaged to a pretty wonderful guy, whom I work with out in BC. We are currently living in Winnipeg (we travel back and forth on our times off) with our two cats, and are attempting to plan a wedding - but due to our work schedule and some health issues beyond our control, this is proving exceedingly difficult.
